By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Apply core principles of antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) in Pediatric primary care.
  2. Prescribe antibiotics rationally using evidence-based Pediatric guidelines.
  3. Differentiate viral from bacterial infections in common Pediatric conditions.
  4. Select appropriate drug, dose, duration, and route for common infections.
  5. Interpret basic microbiology reports relevant to primary care.
  6. Reduce unnecessary antibiotic use and combat antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
  7. Communicate effectively with parents regarding antibiotic decisions.
  8. Implement simple AMS strategies within their own clinical practice.
