By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Apply core principles of antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) in Pediatric primary care.
- Prescribe antibiotics rationally using evidence-based Pediatric guidelines.
- Differentiate viral from bacterial infections in common Pediatric conditions.
- Select appropriate drug, dose, duration, and route for common infections.
- Interpret basic microbiology reports relevant to primary care.
- Reduce unnecessary antibiotic use and combat antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding antibiotic decisions.
- Implement simple AMS strategies within their own clinical practice.
